Microsoft Fabric Consulting in Melbourne & Across Australia

We help Australian leaders unify their data estate with Microsoft Fabric: lakehouses, data pipelines, and Direct Lake semantic models built on OneLake. Based in Melbourne and delivering nationally, Streamline Analytics turns Fabric's promise into decisions your business can act on.

Why Fabric?

Melbourne Microsoft Fabric Experts

Why Australian Businesses Choose Microsoft Fabric

Microsoft Fabric brings your entire analytics stack into a single SaaS platform built on OneLake: data integration, engineering, warehousing, real-time analytics, and Power BI. One copy of your data, one security model, one capacity to manage, and native integration with the Microsoft tools your business already runs on.

But a Fabric capacity alone doesn't deliver value. You need a well-architected lakehouse, reliable pipelines, and semantic models designed for how your people actually make decisions. That's where our Melbourne-based team comes in, working with clients from Sydney to Perth and everywhere in between.

Our Microsoft Fabric Services

End-to-end Microsoft Fabric solutions for Australian businesses of every size, from first capacity to enterprise-scale data platforms.

Fabric Implementation & Strategy

From capacity sizing and workspace architecture to governance and deployment pipelines, we design your Fabric environment for the way your business works, then roadmap the migration from your existing stack without disrupting reporting your teams rely on.

Lakehouse & Data Engineering

We build OneLake lakehouses, Data Factory pipelines, and notebook-driven transformations that land clean, modelled data in Delta tables: a single source of truth that's ready for analytics, data science, and AI workloads alike.

Power BI on Fabric & Direct Lake

Fabric and Power BI are built for each other. We design Direct Lake semantic models that query OneLake directly, giving you import-mode speed without the refresh overhead, so your dashboards stay fast as your data grows.

Fabric Governance, Optimisation & Training

We keep your Fabric estate healthy with capacity monitoring, cost optimisation, workspace governance, and CI/CD, and upskill your team with tailored training so they can build and maintain Fabric solutions independently.

Our Approach

How We Work

Microsoft Fabric Consulting Built for Australian Businesses

As certified practising accountants who've spent years embedded in ASX-listed IT teams, we understand both the commercial questions and the technical answers. That means your Fabric platform isn't just well-engineered. It's designed around the decisions your C-suite, management, and operations teams actually need to make. It's why leaders trust us with decisions, not just data platforms.

Finance + IT expertise. We bridge the gap between what the business needs and what the platform can deliver, so your Fabric investment pays for itself in decisions, not just infrastructure.

Full-stack capability. Fabric is the destination, but we meet your data where it lives, whether that's Azure, AWS, Snowflake, Databricks, SQL Server, or on-premises sources, and bring it into OneLake cleanly.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Microsoft Fabric and how is it different from Power BI?

Power BI is the reporting and visualisation layer; Microsoft Fabric is the end-to-end data platform around it. Fabric adds data integration (Data Factory), engineering (lakehouses and notebooks), warehousing, and real-time analytics, all on a shared storage layer called OneLake. Power BI is included in Fabric, so your existing reports carry forward.

How much does Microsoft Fabric consulting cost in Australia?

Every engagement is different. We offer a free 30-minute consultation to understand your needs and provide a clear, upfront quote. We'll also help you right-size your Fabric capacity so you're not paying for compute you don't use.

Do we need to replace our existing data warehouse to use Fabric?

No. Fabric can sit alongside your existing investments. OneLake shortcuts can reference data in Azure Data Lake, Amazon S3, and other sources without copying it. We typically design a staged migration so your current reporting keeps running while the new platform proves itself.

What is Direct Lake and why does it matter?

Direct Lake is a Fabric semantic model mode that lets Power BI query Delta tables in OneLake directly, combining the speed of import mode with the freshness of DirectQuery, without scheduled refreshes. For growing datasets it's often the single biggest performance win in a Fabric migration.

Do you only work with Melbourne businesses?

Not at all. We're Melbourne-based but work with clients across Australia and internationally. Most of our collaboration happens remotely, so location is never a barrier, whether you're in Sydney, Brisbane, Perth, or regional Australia.

Do you offer Microsoft Fabric training?

Yes. We run tailored training sessions for teams at all levels, from Fabric fundamentals and lakehouse design through to advanced data engineering, Direct Lake modelling, and capacity administration. Training can be delivered remotely or on-site in Melbourne.
